I'm Heidi Hein, a travel writer in Málaga. I built Spain on Foot and Málaga Rooftop Bars myself, from a list of notes to two sites people plan trips with. Travellers Welcome is the link exchange I wanted while I was growing them, and I read every application to it myself.

What Travellers Welcome is
Travellers Welcome is a members-only directory where independent travel bloggers support each other. You post a page you'd like links to, and other members link to it if they think it genuinely adds value to theirs.
The idea is support without anything expected in return. Nobody is paired with anybody, nobody owes a link back, and nobody has to give one. A person reviews every applicant, and live links are re-checked rather than trusted and forgotten.
