Sometimes you don't have a page worth trading, you just have something that genuinely belongs in someone else's article. This is the room for asking, and it only works because people here treat it carefully.
The difference matters. A request board is where people post links and wait for strangers to bite. Nobody enjoys it and the results are usually bad on both sides.
Here you explain why the mention would actually be useful to the other blogger's readers, and members only offer when it fits something they were already writing. If it doesn't fit, nothing happens, and that is a perfectly normal outcome.
There's no reciprocal link expected. The placement is still recorded and can still be reported if someone agrees to it and then doesn't follow through.
What an ask looks like
Page to mention
yourtravelblog.com/seville-in-winter
Why it would be useful
“It covers the off-season opening hours that most Seville guides get wrong, including the three museums that close on Mondays.”
Asking for
A mention in an existing Spain itinerary post. No link back expected.
Your best content isn't a natural trade, or you'd rather not hand out a link from it right now.
You want a mention on one narrow topic where you genuinely are the better source, rather than a general trade.
Apply with your site and I'll review it by hand, usually within a few days.
